“Approach birth as an opportunity to have an adventure on the way to meeting your baby, rather than an ordeal to be endured.”
- Anna Wilde
A doula is a steady presence who honors the sacred passage of becoming a parent. She moves beside you as witness, translator, and keeper of calm—attuned to the rhythms of your body, the needs of your heart, and the whispered language of your breath. Rooted in compassion and trained in comfort, a doula reads the subtle currents of labor and postpartum, offering hands that soothe, words that ground, and a light that keeps you focused on what matters most.
She holds space without judgement: creating a circle where fear can soften and strength can rise. With massage, positioning, breathwork, and ritual, a doula helps your body remember its wisdom and your spirit claim its power.
Meet Natalie
Hi, I'm Natalie. A mother of five, grandmother to two, lifelong caregiver, and the heart behind Birthing Tides Doula. My journey into birth work began long before I officially became a doula. From a young age, I was drawn to nurturing others, always with a baby doll in my arms, offering to babysit, and helping care for the little ones in my community.
At 17, I became a mother myself, which deepened my passion for supporting young growing families. I worked in my high school’s childcare program while pregnant and continued after my daughter was born. Over the years, I have raised five beautiful children of my own and lovingly cared for the children of friends and family.
When my young daughter welcomed my first grandson into the world, I felt a clear calling, to step fully into birth work and continue the journey of supporting young mothers through one of life’s most powerful transitions.
Today, I offer compassionate, grounded doula support rooted in lived experience, intuition, and a deep respect for each birthing person's unique path. I bring a calm, nurturing presence to the families I serve, meeting them where they are with warmth and wisdom.
In addition to my doula work, I'm a forever student — always learning, growing, and expanding my skills. I’m a certified yoga instructor, an amateur herbalist, and I find joy in painting, spending time in nature, and getting lost in a good book.
Whether you are preparing for your first baby or choosing an entirely different route, I’m honored to walk beside you as your doula. -Natalie

With A’s first birthday tomorrow I wanted to reach out and just give you a major thank you! Thank you for being my doula and for being such an essential part of the healing journey that lead me to having the birth I so desperately wish I’d got to have when I had Z. The work you do is beyond what words can say and I am so grateful the role you played and the immense support you gave me. Thank you thank you. You really are super woman!

I cannot recommend Natalie and Birthing Tides enough! As a first time mother far away from family, she was an integral part of creating a positive labor and birth experience for my husband and me. From the first time we met, I immediately felt fully supported, informed, and involved in each and every decision related to my birth experience along the way. She has gone above and beyond to support our family after I had some complications and was struggling to care for both myself and my newborn son. Natalie truly has a heart of gold and is true advocate for you and your wishes. I can honestly say I would not change anything about how my birth experience unfolded. Do yourself a favor and contact Birthing Tides. You won't regret it!
